The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign to promote the government's achievements and welfare schemes, reached Tikri in Udhampur district on Saturday. The event was attended by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and senior officials from the district administration and various departments. A solemn 'Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat' pledge was administered to the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said that the government is committed to the development of all sections of society. He highlighted the various schemes and initiatives launched by the government for the welfare of the people. Dr Jitendra Singh also distributed bicycles to the Girls under 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' Scheme. In addition, Dr Singh laid the foundation stone for upgradation of various roads in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Various Beneficiaries on this occasion said that they took advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri KISAN Scheme and many other schemes.
