In Jammu and Kashmir, the vehicular traffic between Jammu and Srinagar remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day today due to slipperiness on the National Highway connecting Jammu-Srinagar around Jawahar Tunnel and landslides at several places along the highway leaving over 7,000 vehicles stranded. <br />'' <br />'' According to Inspector General of Police (Traffic) T Namgyal, landslides triggered by intermittent rainfall since Sunday night had occurred at many places between Dhalwas and Ramsu but mainly at Digdol, Mom Passi, Panthial, Mehad and Marog. <br />'' <br />'' He said that although the road stretches at Marog, Mom Passi, Panthial, Mehad, Monkey Mod, Dhalwas and Karol are expected to be cleared for two way traffic within few hours and also around the Jawahar Tunnel but it may take more time at Digdol to ultimately resume one-way traffic on the highway. <br />'' <br />'' The highway has been closed since Monday morning due to snowfall around Jawahar Tunnel and landslides at various places in Ramban district. <br />'' <br />'' Men and machines are working on war footing to clear the highway of the landslides but intermittent rainfall and shooting stones have been hampering the road clearance operations and making it difficult. <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the train services between Bannihal and Srinagar have also remained suspended for the fourth day today. <br />'' <br />''
