<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Governmnet today constituted an Apex level and two Divisional Committees to draw road map for the conduct of District Development Council elections. </span><br />''<br />''AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that in this context the General Administation Department has issued an order giving sanction. <br />''<br />''The Apex Committee will have Principal Secretary, Home as Chairman and DG J&K Police, ADG (CID) and Divisional Commissioners Kashmir and Jammu, representative of Transport Department not below the rank of Additional Secretary as members, while Secretary, RD&RP Department will be the member Secretary. <br />''<br />''The 'Terms of Reference' of the Apex committee will be to draw a road map and detailed schedule for conduct of Elections to DDCs on the basis of inputs from the Divisional Committees and upon assessment of ground level situation taking into consideration various requirements including security logistics, personnel and equipment. <br />''<br />''The Divisional Committees will have respective Divisional Commissioner as Chairman, IG Police as member, Director RDD as Member-Secretary and any other person as co-opted by the Committee as member. <br />''<br />''Based on assessment of manpower, security, logistics, transport, equipment and all other requirements, the Divisional Committees shall submit an outline of possibilities and constraints to Apex Committee that shall submit its report to Government by October 27. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The above Committees shall be serviced by Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj.</span><br />
