J&K upset Mumbai in Ranji Trophy; CM Omar Abdullah congratulates team for victory <br/>

Continuing their rapid rise in the domestic circuit, Jammu and Kashmir today notched up a stunning four-wicket triumph over 40-time Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai. The win came at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with more than a session to spare in their opening Group A match of the tournament. Chasing a modest target of 237 and commencing at their overnight 58 for one, J&amp;K kept composure despite losing five more wickets to reach the target 73 minutes after lunch on the fourth and final day. The final scores:Mumbai 236 and 254 and J&amp;K at 254 and 237 for 6. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has congratulated the state cricket team for its historic win over 40-time Ranji champions Mumbai. In a statement, Mr. Abdullah said the historic victory will go a long way in inspiring the youth of J&amp;K to reach for new frontiers and to conquer new heights. He also expressed hope that the win on cricket field will inspire more youth to prove their mettle in other sports and academics.
