In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the upper reaches of Kashmir Valley have received a fresh spell of snowfall while incessant rains have been lashing the plains of Kashmir region since last evening.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' As per the reports, the higher reaches in Kashmir where snowfall has been recorded include Heerpora, Razdan Top, Peer ki Gali, Sadhna Top, Sinthan Top, Zojila, Sonamarg, and the famous skiing destination of Gulmarg in north Kashmir.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' The places enroute to Shri Amarnathji ji pilgrimage via Pahalgam like Sheshnag, Panjtarni, Mahagunus top have also received a fresh spell of snowfall bringing down the temperature considerably in the entire Kashmir division, forcing the people to remain indoors, use heating gadgets and wear warm clothes.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Meanwhile, Karnah, Keran and Machil roads in Kupwara, Bandipora-Gurez, and Mughal Road, an alternate road link connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country have been closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall whereas Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) is through for vehicular traffic despite rains at several places. However, traffic authorities have advised people to contact Traffic Control Rooms before taking their journey on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
