In Jammu & Kashmir, an unidentified militant was killed in an encounter near Line of Control in Machhil Sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district. The area is about 150 Kms in north of Srinagar headquarters. Three BSF personnel including a junior officer also lost their lives during the encounter.<br/><br/>BSF spokesman Vishwa Bandhu told AIR Correspondent that a group of militants attacked Bhooriwala BSF Post in the sector around 0545 hrs early morning today triggering fierce encounter. <br/><br/>In the ensuing encounter, two BSF personnel and an unidentified militant were killed in the initial firefight. Later, one among three injured BSF personnel succumbed to injuries. <br/><br/>Two other BSF men sustained minor injuries while two Army personnel also sustained injuries in the gunfight.<br/><br/>Other militants may have fled the scene taking the advantage of the difficult mountainous terrain.
