<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu  and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces at Hardshiva area of Sopore in Baramulla district in the early hours today. According to police sources, Sopore Police, 22 RR and CRPF laid a cordon and search Operation in the area on an intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.</span><span style="color: #333333;"><br />'' <br />'' </span><span style="color: #222222;">As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the security forces which was effectively retaliated by them that resulted in the elimination of two terrorists. Both the terrorists were locals and have been identified as Waleed Bashir Mir of Behrampora Sopore and Bilal Ahmad Parray of Yamberzalwara Sopore. They  belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist organisation. Two AK 47 Rifles were recovered from the encounter site. Police officials said, the incriminating material recovered from their possession include 28 Live Rounds of AK 47, One Magazine of AK 47 and 20 Posters of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).<br />'' <br />'' Police officials said that the group was involved in providing logistic support and shelter to active terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba and were active in the area for the last few months.
