J&K: Total number of COVID-19 cases reach 10,827; death toll mounts to 194

In Jammu and Kashmir, there has been no let-up in the COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the Union Territory has reached 10,827. 18 deaths have been reported from Jammu and 170 from Kashmir division Kashmir Division continues to show an upward trend while Srinagar district has been witnessing the sharp spike relentlessly with 101 cases being recorded as per the previous medical bulletin issued by the J&K Government.<br />'' <br />''However, the district administration has been tirelessly reaching-out to the people and has been seeking their cooperation so as to contain further the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.<br />''<b> </b><br />''"Jammu and Kashmir has recorded yet another single day spike of 314 COVID-19 cases taking the Union Territory's tally so far to 10,827. Eight more fatalities have pushed the death tally to 187 out of which 170 corano deaths have taken place in Kashmir Division alone. Out of the 314 fresh cases, Srinagar district has recorded the highest number of 101 cases taking the total number of active cases so far to 1236.<br />''<br />''Srinagar continues to show a rising trend in the couple of weeks prompting the administration to impose strict restrictions in 88 containment zones of the city. Although preventive measures are taken by the administration, yet the onus lies with the people who are supposed to strictly follow the SOPs like wearing face masks,  use sanitizers and maintain social distancing norms in order to contain the spread of the contagion.<br />
