J&K to launch tourism promotional campaign

Jammu and Kashmir Government is contemplating to launch a tourism promotional campaign to showcase the potential tourist spots and tourism related activities of the State to attract the world tourists. For this purpose a comprehensive policy would be framed for producing promotional films and taking up other media campaigns. The decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting of Tourism department chaired by J&K Minister for Tourism, Nawang Rigzin Jora in Jammu today. The Minister said that J&K State is blessed with abundant natural splendor which the government is tapping in the right perspective by developing new destinations, besides creating latest tourism infrastructural conveniences for the domestic and foreign visitors. Mr. Jora said that the adventure, pilgrims and sports tourism is also being focused upon by the government as these sectors have tremendous scope in the State.
