Jammu and Kashmir Government is planning to boost tourism by providing facilities to Vaishnodevi Pilgrim tourists for visiting other tourists spots as well. Minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora said in Jammu today various tourism spots of Jammu and other areas of the region will be explored for this.<br/><br/>The Minister was on a visit of famous historic Bahu Fort of Jammu and its vicinity to asses the tourism potential of the area. Jora called upon the authorities to expedite the formulation of project reports of unexplored tourist destinations of the State. <br/><br/>This will help tap early funding from the centre for developing and building infrastructure. He said pilgrimage site like Mahamaya temple and Har-ki-Podi in the vicinity of Bahu Fort will also be developed and a series of view points besides other attractions will be created to attract tourists.<br/><br/>The ropeway from Heritage Mubarak Mandi Palace to Bahu Fort will become very attractive and realignment work of this project has begun. Jora said that Bahu Fort has been declared state protected monument and it is being developed as a heritage site at a cost of about Rs.70 lakh.<br/>
