In Jammu & Kashmir, a local Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was killed and an army official injured in a brief shootout in north Kashmir's Bandipora district this evening.<br/><br/>A police official told AIR that a joint check point (naka) was laid by police and army outside police station in Bandipora town following specific inputs about the movement of a terrorist in a passenger vehicle. He said during checking a gunman travelling in a vehicle opened fire in which an army official was injured. <br/><br/>The terrorist identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Shergujri was killed in the retaliatory fire. The police official said no civilian was hurt in the incident.<br/><br/>Earlier, two local Lashkar Toiba terrorists Jahangir & Shafi were killed in about eight hour counter insurgency operation in south Kashmir's Padgampora Awantipora area of Pulwama district. A 15 year old civilian boy was also killed in the cross-fire.
