J&K successfully vaccinates more than 1 lakh children aged 0-5 yr under Intensified Mission Indradhanush

In Jammu and Kashmir, in a significant achievement under the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 which has now reached its conclusion, the Union Territory has successfully vaccinated more than 1 lakh children aged 0-5 years and over 17 thousand pregnant women who were either due for vaccinations or had missed previous doses. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that a total of 1,02,169 children in the 0-5 age group received vaccinations in three comprehensive rounds conducted across J&K, beginning in August.<br />''  <br />'' Simultaneously, 17,449 pregnant women were included in this vital vaccination campaign with 13,081 vaccination sessions organized during these rounds across the Union Territory. During the first round of IMI 5.0, 32,822 children were covered, encompassing those due for vaccine shots or those who had previously missed them. In the second round, 34,058 such children received vaccinations, and in the third round, 35,289 children were successfully vaccinated, taking the total to 102,169 children who benefited during the intensified immunization campaign. Similarly, 5,094 pregnant women were vaccinated during the first round, 6,146 during the second round in September, and 6,209 women were covered in the final round of IMI 5.0 from October 9 to 14, bringing the total to 17,449 pregnant women.
