J&K: Srinagar-Leh National Highway and Mughal Road closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall

<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the upper reaches of Kashmir Valley have received a fresh spell of snowfall while incessant rains have been lashing the plains of Kashmir region since last evening.<br />''<br />''As per the reports, the higher reaches in Kashmir where snowfall has been recorded include Razdan top, Peer ki Gali, Sadhna Top, Sinthan Top, Zojila, Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and the places en-route to Shri Amarnathji ji pilgrim route via Pahalgam like Sheshnag, Panjtarni have also received a fresh spell of snowfall bringing down the temperature considerably in the entire Kashmir division, forcing the people to remain indoors and wear warm clothes.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Srinagar-Leh National Highway and Mughal Road, an alternate road link connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country have been closed for vehicular traffic due to snowfall whereas Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) has been blocked at Mehad and other places between Ramban and Banihal due to overnight rains, falling stones, and landslides. However, traffic authorities are making all-out efforts to restore traffic on all the Highways.</span><br />
