<span style="color: #222222;">With the restoration of peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar city is seeing a tourism boom. This was stated by the District Magistrate Mohammad Aijaz Assad while talking to AIR News. He said, last year, the Srinagar International Airport witnessed a maximum of 50 flights a day during the peak tourism season. This year, more than 100 flights are operating on a daily basis. Mr Assad said, a number of steps have been taken to increase tourist footfall in the city. These include introduction of adventure tourism circuits at Harvan, paragliding at Astanmarg Mountain and water sports at Nigeen Lake and Dal Lake.<br />''<br />''The District Magistrate said, measures are being taken to bring in more investment that will create employment for the youth and also benefit local businesses.<br />''     <br />''Mr Aijaz said, besides upgrading infrastructure of educational institutions, the Administration is also establishing 10 Model Schools with the state-of-the-art facilities. It has introduced computer-aided teaching on a pilot basis, with focus on increasing learning outcome at the primary level.</span><br />
