In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur is participating in the opening ceremony of the 3rd edition of Khelo India Winter Games at Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district tomorrow.  The sports event is being organised after the successful conduct of the first two editions in which J&K is having the distinction to have topped in both the previous editions of the Khelo India Winter Games held so far.

AIR Correspondent the famous ski resort Gulmarg in Kashmir is all set for Khelo India National Winter Games which are scheduled from tomorrow.  All the arrangements and preparations have been finalised for this mega sports event. The Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur landed in Kashmir today amidst heavy snowfall in order to inaugurate the third edition of the Khelo India Winter Games at Gulmarg tomorrow.  While interacting with some sports and media persons at Tangmarg this evening,  the Union Minister was all praise for the hospitality and the pleasant weather conditions of Kashmir.  While lauding the scenic beauty of Kashmir he said that the whole nation is waiting for this mega event at the snow-clad peaks of Gulmarg in which more than 1500 athletes from across the country are participating in the five-day national event beginning tomorrow.
