J&K: Special UAPA court in Doda district declares 23 terrorists from Kishtwar district, operating from Pakistan & PoJK as proclaimed offenders

In Jammu and Kashmir, a Special Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) court in Doda district has declared 23 terrorists from Kishtwar district, who are operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) as proclaimed offenders and process to attach their properties will be set in motion if they don't surrender before the court within 30 days. The court has given 30 days time to the proclaimed offenders to appear before it in connection with the cases registered against them, failing which their properties will be attached. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">However, with this, the total number of Kishtwar terrorists operating from Pakistan and PoJK who have been declared as proclaimed offenders, has gone up to 36. Among 23 terrorists, properties of 12 have been identified but the attachment process would begin after expiry of 30 days deadline set by the court if they don't surrender by then. Out of 13 terrorists declared offenders previously, properties of seven have been identified for attachment. SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal said the families of the terrorists will be informed by police teams that if their kin don't surrender, their properties will be attached. There are 36 terrorists from Kishtwar who are operating from Pakistan and PoJK. Two FIRs have been registered against them.</span><br />
