In Jammu & Kashmir, a suspected terrorist shot dead a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district this evening. <br/><br/>A Police official told AIR that the SPO Haleem Kohli of Gutroo village of Tral was fired upon by a terrorist inside his residence leaving him critically injured. <br/><br/>Later, he succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Haleem was recruited as SPO in March 2008.<br/>No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility of the attack. <br/>Soon the after the incident security forces launched the operation to nab the assailants. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, a cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched in Drabgam area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Reports said some militants are present in the area. However, there was no report of any gunfight in the area so far.<br/>
