In Jammu and Kashmir, for the first time in the frontier District of Kargil to explore the hidden talent of the Differently Abled Persons, Special Olympics Bharat J&K organized District Games at Munshi Habibullah Mission School Kargil. More than 50 Differently Abled players from far flung areas of Kargil, participated in the sports events and demonstrated their potential and caliber in various disciplines. On this occasion, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmad, was the Chief Guest and Deputy Director Youth Service and Sports J&K Haji Mirza Hussain was the Guest of Honour.After inaugurating the tournament, Mushtaq Ahmad, hailed the efforts of Special Olympics Bharat J&K for their tireless initiatives for organizing such an event in this topographically tough district. He urged the people to come forward and join such organizations for the noble movement. He hoped that such special events will be organized by SOB in future in this area.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashwani Jojra the State President of SOB J&K, told that it was the dream of Late Mrs. Eunice Shriver Kennedy, the President of International Special Olympics to reach every Special Athlete in the every corner of the World to explore the hidden talent in them through the medium of sports as a sole motive.
