In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, seven persons were killed while as many as 10 to 15 people are missing after a cloudburst triggered flash floods in Honzar locality of Dacchan area in Kishtwar district early morning today. AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the flash floods triggered by cloudburst hit a residential area, in which 10 to 15 people went missing.<br />'' <br />'' The bodies of seven people have been recovered so far even as heavy rains have been hindering search operation to trace out missing people. So far, 17 people have been rescued as the search operation continues.  Among them, five are critically injured. The teams of Police, Army and SDRF have reached the area and rescue operation was going on.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the Centre is closely monitoring the situation in the wake of the cloudbursts in Kishtwar and Kargil. In a tweet, he said, all possible assistance is being made available in the affected areas. The Prime Minister said, he is praying for everyone's safety and well-being.<br />'' <br />'' Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to LG Manoj Sinha and DG Police Dilbagh Singh regarding the cloudburst. Mr Shah said that the priority at this time is to save as many lives as possible adding NDRF team is also reaching there to assist in rescue operations. Union Minister of State Science & Technology Dr Jitendra Singh said that he spoke to DM Kishtwar Ashok Sharma and assured that Air Force authorities have been contacted for lifting the injured as and when required.<br />'' <br />'' He further said that the rescue operations are going on with the help of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and Army. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that he is closely and continuously monitoring the situation in  Kishtwar district and he spoke to senior authorities and Kishtwar district administration where Army and SDRF teams are working on war footing to rescue people and trace the missing persons.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, 60 families were evacuated to safety from the Paddar area in view of incessant rains which posed a threat to their homes. Kishtwar District Magistrate said, seven bodies have been recovered from the debris and 6-8 houses have been damaged following cloudburst.<br />'' <br />'' The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains during the upcoming days and water levels in rivers and nallas are expected to rise, which can pose a threat to the inhabitants residing near rivers, nallas, water bodies and slide-prone areas. Details are awaited. Most parts of Jammu region have been receiving heavy rain for the past few days. With the forecast of more rains till July end, authorities in Kishtwar have asked people living along water bodies and slide prone areas to remain vigilant.<br />
