In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have seized a cache of arms and ammunition including two Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Rajouri and Doda districts. Police sources said acting on a tip off , Rastriya Rifles (RR) troops, Territorial Army and police launched a search operation in Larkoti area of Rajouri district early today. During the search, the combined forces recovered IED weighing 20 kg kept inside a metal container, 162 rounds of ammunition of AKrifle, two UBGL grenades, four Pika rounds, two AK-56 magazines, one pistol magazine, three rounds of sniper rifle, four magazines of AK-47 rifle, one Lashker-e-Taiba letter head and miscellaneous items.However, the terrorists managed to escape. The sources said, the ultras were planning to trigger blasts on Independence day.In the second recovery from Chakri area in Udhyan belt of Doda district, one Chinese Pistol with one magazine, 10 rounds of AK rifle, one detonator and one IED in a steel utensil with wires protruding out were among the seized items.
