In Jammu and Kashmir, two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Doda district of Jammu division around 10.30 this morning. The slain militants belonged to Hizabul Mujahideen outfit and have been identified as Zakir and Muzaffar Hussain. Security forces have recovered two AK-56 rifles and some ammunition from the site of encounter.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent R.K. Raina reports from Jammu that acting on a tip off about the presence of militants in village Labbar, Marmat area of Doda district, Rashtriya Rifles and Police cordoned off the area late last evening. During search operations launched in the wee hours today, militants hiding in a nallah opened firing on the troops which was retaliated in which two militants got killed. The slain militants have been identified as Zakair Hussain and Muzafar Hussain, residents of Marmat area of Doda district and were active in militancy since 2002. From the site of encounter troops recovered 2 AK 56 rifles, magazines and some ammunition. The slain militants were involved in various militancy related incidents including killing of many innocent civilians in Doda and Kishtwar districts.
