Security forces busted a militant hideout yesterday and seized a cache of arms and explosives, in Ramban district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Defence sources told AIR this morning that Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of a hideout, launched a joint search operation in Nachlana Suikote area in Banihal tehsil of the district.

During the search operation, a war-like store consisting of an AK-56 rifle, 3 AK magazines, 329 AK ammunition rounds, 137 Pika ammunition rounds,5 Chinese grenades, 7.5 kg RDX explosives, an ICON Radio Set, 2 Radio Set Antennae, an IED circuit and a medical kit, were recovered.
