<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, today reviewed progress and performance of 13 Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) under Himayat scheme at a meeting at Panchayat Bhawan, Jammu.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the Chief Operating Officer, Himayat Scheme, Kapil Sharma gave an overview of the program & the progress achieved in different parameters.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He informed that post-lockdown more than 2846 candidates have been trained and about 1783 candidates are placed in corporate sector.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A threadbare discussion was also held to redress the issues pertaining to the training and placement of the candidates enrolled in these PIAs.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Secretary directed the PIAs to speed up the commencement of training and placement of the candidates and emphasized on organizing mobilization programmes, enhancing capacity utilization, and improving quality of training.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She also asked the PIAs to set up a dedicated team in the UT led by a UT head for better monitoring and supervision.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Himayat is a placement linked skill training program targeted at school & college dropouts for providing sustainable livelihoods through employment in the private sector.</span><br />''
