In Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Consultant in the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, Dr. Jupaka Madhavi and Additional Superintendent of Police, Ramban, Rajni Sharma today inaugurated a "SAKHI" One-Stop Service Centre for women in Ramban district.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The Ministry is implementing a scheme for setting up One Stop Centres since April 2015 to support women affected by violence.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The scheme aims to facilitate access to an integrated range of services including medical aid, police assistance and legal aid or case management, psycho-social counselling and temporary support services to women affected by violence.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Under the scheme, it has been envisaged that One Stop Centre would be set up across the country at district level in a phased manner.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Out of total 733 districts of the country, 688 such centres have been made functional including 11 in J&amp;K under Nirbhaya Fund and such Centers would also be opened in other districts of the Union Territory soon.</span><br />
