J&K reports 210 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Covid-19 positive cases continue to surge particularly in Kashmir Division, as 210 fresh cases, 41 from Jammu Division and 169 from Kashmir Division were reported yesterday, which is the highest in this year.<br />'' <br />'' Consequently, the surge has pushed the number of active positive cases to 1681 in union territory, which otherwise were less than 600 a few weeks ago. Moreover, one more death from Kashmir was reported yesterday taking the toll of deaths in the Union Territory to 1984 so far.<br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports that Jammu and Kashmir has recorded a single day spike of 210 COVID-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours. Out of these cases, Srinagar district alone has recorded the highest number of 98 cases.<br />'' <br />'' With this, Srinagar district has been showing a rising trend of cases from the last few days promoting the district administration to act tough against those found without face-masks and violating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).<br />'' <br />'' Announcements are also being made by Jammu & Kashmir Police in Srinagar city urging the people at large, to wear face masks and adhere to the guidelines issued by the administration in an effort to contain the spread of the infection further more. <br />''
