The Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram has said that Jammu and Kashmir remains vulnerable to militant attacks sponsored by forces across the border.<br/><br/>He said that the incident of terrorist attack in Srinagar on Thursday shows that there is a need to maintain high level of vigilance by the security forces. <br/><br/>Mr. Chidambaram however said that there is no cause for panic, as the security forces can face any challenge and we must remain calm and confident about it. <br/><br/>In a statement in Delhi the Home Minister also complimented the J&K police and CRPF for the brilliant operation which he said was executed with great skill and patience to neutralise the two militants without suffering any casualty and evacuating 600 civilian to safety. <br/><br/>He said that it is noteworthy that the operation was conducted without calling upon the NSG or the special forces of the army. <br/><br/>
