J&K records highest single day spike of 1079 COVID-19 cases

Jammu and Kashmir recorded the highest ever spike in COVID-19 cases after 1079 people tested positive for the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. It is the first ever single day rise in cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Union Territory. Among 1,079 new cases, 457 are from Kashmir while 622 are reported from Jammu division. With this, the COVID-19 case tally has risen to 39,943.<br />''<br />''With 680 more recoveries, the total number of people cured from COVID-19 so far has risen to 30,759.
