Higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir received first snowfall of this season bringing the temperature down. The tourist spots of Gulmarg and Sonamarg received 6 inches of snow. Srinagar-Kargil road has also been closed for the traffic due to snow accumulation on Zojila Pass. The traffic on Sringar – Jammu national highway is plying despite snow in the Jawahar tunnel area. AIR correspondent adds that latest rain and snow in the valley is good for rabi crops.
