The Union Territory administration in Jammu and Kashmir has been tirelessly reaching out to the people and trying to mitigate their sufferings due to the prevailing circumstances following the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, the number of COVID patients in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 55 as six new positive cases have emerged out in Kashmir Division today. The Government is in the process of re-engaging the doctors and paramedical staff who are retiring within six months, for one year. <br />'' <br />'' More than 2400 beds in J&K have been made ready for meeting any eventuality. The district administration Bandipora has disbursed 1.29 crores, Kupwara has disbursed 2.59 crores, Kulgam 84.79 lakhs as a cash assistance among construction workers through Direct Benefit Transfer. <br />'' <br />'' The district administration of Bandipora today declared 4 villages as Red zones as a precautionary measure after several positive cases were reported from these areas. The villages have totally been sealed. Major General Ashok Singh, General officer Commanding (GoC), Kilo Force visited Bandipora today and assured the civil administration of all possible assistance to help fight the pandemic together. <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, Army has clarified that the information about a jawan being tested positive in Srinagar is baseless. As per PRO Defence Srinagar, no soldier in Srinagar has been tested positive till date.<br />''
