J&K: Ramban gears up to strengthen RAHAT centres established along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, District Administration Ramban is gearing up to strengthen RAHAT centres established along Nashri to Tethar stretch of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.<br />'' <br />'' Ramban Administration's Help and Aid to Travelers (RAHAT) centres is an initiative of district administration to provide shelter to stranded passengers and transport operators in the event of disruption of traffic on Jammu-Srinagar national highway due to landslide, inclement weather or other reasons.<br />'' <br />'' Twenty RAHAT Centres established along the national highway are proposed to be managed by NGOs, government officials of different departments and PRIs to provide timely and better facility to stranded passengers during emergency.<br />'' <br />''<br />''DDC, Ramban directed the members of Quick Response Teams (QRTs), officials of traffic police and civil administration besides the officials of essential departments to coordinate with the caretaker of RAHAT centres for their proper management.</span>
