J&K: Ram Madhav holds deliberations with party leadership

Ahead of Lok Sabha by-polls on two seats in Kashmir valley and election to six seats of Legislative Council falling on April 17, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav today visited Jammu and held deliberations with the party leadership.<br/><br/>Later interacting with media persons Mr Madhav, who is also in-charge J&K Affairs of the party, said that he met the BJP leaders from the State and discussed poll strategy besides political scenario of the State in detail.<br/><br/>He said that besides discussing the prevailing political situation in the State and Party's strategy for the by elections of two seats of Lok Sabha in Kashmir valley, he also discussed the names of party candidates to be fielded for elections to Legislative Council. <br/><br/>On the issue of fielding of BJP candidates for upcoming Srinagar and Anantnag Loksabha by-polls, Mr Madhav said, he is of the opinion, that both the coalition partners PDP and BJP should sit together and hold discussion on the issue.<br/><br/>However, he made it clear that the final decision on the issue will only be taken by the BJP high command in New Delhi. <br/>
