J&K: Rajouri Police foils smuggling bid; recovers huge consignment of heroine like substance

In Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri Police foiled a smuggling bid and recovered a huge consignment of high-cost heroine like substance running in crores in the international market and one drug peddler has also been arrested so far.<br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports that a team of police headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Rajouri Sameer Jilani was on a Naka duty when a Mobile load carrier bearing was intercepted and stoped for routine frisking.<br />'' <br />''During frisking of the vehicle, the police personnel recovered a huge consignment of drugs that was kept hidden in the vehicle.<br />'' <br />''The driver of the vehicle identified as Tariq Ahmed Ghanie from Bachro area of  Kulgam district was arrested on the spot and vehicle was seized.<br />'' <br />''Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Kohli has informed that the consignment recovered from the vehicle is heroine like substance weighing around seven kilograms and is expected to cost in several crores of rupees.<br />'' <br />''He further said that all possible aspects including cross border smuggling are bring probed in this case and more arrests are likely.<br />
