In Jammu and Kashmir entire private media fraternity today boycotted the State Assembly session following Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone's remarks that 'Media is under his control.' The Speaker's remarks came in view of the objections raised by the opposition over his remarks for media. The issue was initially raised by three cabinet ministers seeking his attention towards a report published in a local English Daily against the State Health Department for alleged corruption describing it as 'media trial'. Earlier in the morning, the Speaker sought disclosure of the 'source' while publishing the reports. Reacting to the Lone's remarks, the Private media boycotted the proceedings and staged demonstration outside the Assembly.
