<br/>Director General of J&K Police Mr. Kuldeep Khoda, has said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is making valuable contribution in restoration of peace in the State, since last two decades. He said that 898 jawans and officers of J&K Police and 470 Special Police Officers (SPOs) have attained martyrdom during this period for the cause of their duty and it was due to their supreme sacrifice along-with other security force and the people of the State that improved security scenario is being seen. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion of awarding Parakaram Padak in favour of 463 jawans and officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Sh. Khoda said that the medals are awarded to those personnel who have sustained injuries during the counter insurgency operations adding the personnel are honoured with medals as a source of encouragement and recognition of their valour in dealing with the situation in the State.
