J&K: Pakistan troops target 40 BSF posts in Kanachack, R.S. Pura, Pargwal sectors

The fresh firing by the Pakistan forces that started last night along the International Border in Kanachack, R.S. Pura and Pargwal sectors of Jammu still continue. The heavy mortar shelling and firing that started around 9 PM last night and went on throughout the night, has so far left about 10 people injured. BSF troops guarding the border have been retaliating firing by Pakistan effectively.

According to official sources, as many as 40 Indian border outposts as well as 25 border villages and hamlets have been targeted by Pakistani Rangers. The people from the affected areas are being shifted to safer places.

Around 10 thousand people from the worst affected areas have been taking shelter in relief camps and other places. Six of the injured people have been brought to GMC Hospital at Jammu this morning, where about twenty five people injured in the firing yesterday are already being treated.

However there is no report of any fresh causality in the firing.
