In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy shelling in Balakote sector of Poonch district along the Line of Control today. According to Defence sources, Pakistani forces started unprovoked shelling targeting posts as well as civilian areas around around 9 am this morning.<br/><br/>Army troops gave a befitting reply and heavy exchange of shelling is still continuing. There was no report of any fresh loss of human life in firing. Earlier last night Pakistan's Rangers resorted to shelling in Hiranagar sector of Kathua and R.S.Pura sector of Jammu district along the International Border.
