In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces today again resorted to heavy firing and shelling in Balakote area of Bhimber Gali sector along the Line of Control in Poonch district.<br/><br/>Defence spokesperson told AIR Jammu that the forces from across the Line of Control started unprovoked firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas around 9 am this morning.<br/><br/>The troops guarding the borderline retaliated and have been giving a befitting reply to the Pakistani shelling. The exchange of fire was going on till the last reports came in.<br/><br/>There is no report of any causality or injury from the Indian side so far. In the wake of escalation in shelling incidents, the schools in the areas close to the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts have been closed for an indefinite period.<br/><br/>Since Monday two army jawans and a girl have been killed in Pakistani shelling in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
