In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces today resorted to heavy shelling and firing along the Line of Control in Poonch district. The Defence sources told AIR Jammu that the Pakistani forces this morning started unprovoked shelling and firing targeting posts and civilian areas in Makote and Balkote areas of Mendhar sector.<br/><br/>Later in the day, Pakistani troops also started unprovoked shelling in adjoining Sabzian sector. The Indian forces retaliated the Pakistan firing and heavy exchange of gunfire lasted till 4pm. There is no report of any fresh human loss from the Indian side so far. Yesterday, two Army Jawans were killed while five others were injured in Pakistani shelling in Krishna Ghati and Sabzian sectors of Poonch.
