In Kashmir valley, one Army jawan was killed and another injured when militants fired on Army jawans patrolling at National Highway in Pampore town in Pulwama district. Defence sources told AIR that the incident occurred this afternoon.

The Army jawans were fired from close range and they were taken to hospital in critical condition. One of them succumbed to the injuries. A search operation has been launched in the area to nab the culprits.
