In Jammu and Kashmir, Finance Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. Pawan Kotwal, who is also the Nodal Officer for National Highway Four Laning Project today visited Ramban and inspected NH-44 construction sites from Banihal to Nashri.<br />''<br />''AIR, Jammu correspondent reports that Dr. Kotwal directed the NHAI and other departments to expedite the pace of construction work to complete the Jammu-Srinagar, National Highway upto international standard which is the priority of the government. <br />''<br />''He also conducted inspection of construction works at different locations besides passing on the spot directions to the concerned for removing bottlenecks hindering the project. He informed that the land acquisition process has been completed and all the working sites have been handed over to the NHAI to start construction works.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Dr. Kotwal&nbsp; further said that keeping in view the tough topography of hilly terrain between Ramban and Banihal, detailed project report is being formulated by NHAI worth 2,000 crore rupees to complete changed 16-kilometre long four laning realigned project which includes more tunnels and bridges to avoid landsliding and sinking areas.&nbsp; He also informed that construction work on 8.5-kilometre long Banihal-Qazigund road tunnel is on the verge of completion and would be completed soon.</span><br />
