The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was reopened for traffic today after clearance of landslides triggered by heavy rains at Panthal area in Ramban district. According to police, over 1200 vehicles, which were stranded at various places in Udhampur, Nagrota, Ramban, Patnitop, Banihal and Batote areas on the highway due to landslides, have been cleared.Authorities have allowed only one way traffic from Jammu to Srinagar on Tuesday. The Inter-district highway of Batote-Doda-Kishtwar and Rajouri-Poonch, which were also closed due to landslides yesterday, has been reopened for vehicular traffic after clearance of the landslides.
