Providing improved amenities with special focus on better road connectivity, provision of drinking water, power supply besides better health care and quality education tops the agenda of the government. This was stated by J&K Minister of State for Power Shabir Ahmed Khan while addressing a series of public meetings in border district of Rajouri on Sunday. He said transformation of socio-economic conditions of the inhabitants especially living in remotest and backward areas of the State is priority of the government. He said numerous innovative and exemplary steps have been taken to push forward overall development of such areas. He said a number of State and Centre welfare scheme under implementation have shown better results at grass root level, adding that deserving people should come forward and approach with concerned authorities for taking full benefits of these schemes.
