In Jammu & Kashmir, the swearing in of PDP President & MP Mehbooba Mufti as new chief minister is highly unlikely till fourth day ritual of Late Mufti Sayeed is observed on Sunday. The State may undergo brief spell of Governor Rule.<br/><br/>The smooth transition of power in the State following the demise of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has delayed. Sources said Ram Madhav, BJP's Secretary General and in-charge J&K had an hour long meeting with Mehbooba Mufti at her residence in Srinagar and offered condolences. Ram Madhav later held meeting with State's party leaders about the overall related developments. <br/><br/>PDP MP and senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh said Mehbooba Mufti and her family members are in deep shock and is impossible for her to take oath at this point of time. He said Governor will take care of the state as interim arrangement till Mehbooba Mufti takes oath. Beigh clarified that BJP has no objection and fully support Mehbooba as Chief Minister.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Governor N.N. Vohra has asked PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and President BJP Satpal Sharma, to inform him immediately about their positions regarding formation of the new Government. A Raj Bhavan spokesman in Jammu this evening said the Governor was in touch with the leadership of the Coalition Government partners.
