J&K: Meeting of Executive Engineers held to review progress on road construction across Doda under PMGSY

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, Doda District Development Commissioner Sagar Doifode yesterday chaired a meeting of Executive Engineers to review the progress on roads across the district being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports that the DDC was apprised of the work progress on different roads besides informed about the total length constructed so far and future work plan.<br />'' <br />'' Till date, 226 kilometres road has been blacktopped, 333.23 kilometres metalled and 421.98 kilometres shingling has been done, while 675.86 kilometres forms the fair weather road across the district. Moreover, against 11 special bridges sanctioned for the district, four have been completed, while 225 habitations have been connected across the district.<br />''<br />''The DDC asked the Engineers to expedite the pace of work of PMGSY road projects and submit the work progress of each activity on daily basis to his office and also set the target of blacktopping one kilometre daily for every sub division of the district.</span><br />
