In Jammu and Kashmir, an elderly man died while two persons were washed away in two separate incidents of landslide and flash floods triggered by heavy rains across Jammu region this morning.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports that the man was killed while his other family members had a narrow escape after a landslide hit his Kaccha House in Bandi Kama Khan area of Mandi tehsil in Poonch district. The incident happened during the night and the man, Abdul Karim Mir was sleeping inside his Kaccha House. While he died on spot, the other family members had a miraculous escape. Police teams and locals rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The body was later recovered from the debris.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, in another incident, a JCB machine and a tipper was washed away in a flash flood in Darhali Nallah near Rajouri town. The tipper driver and his helper, residents of village Sokar in Kotranka tehsil of the district are missing. J&K Police along with Army launched a search operation to trace the missing persons.
