<span style="color: #222222;">Baseer Khan, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, reviewed the performance of Rural Development Department, J&amp;K yesterday including execution of MGNREGA works in the Union Territory. AIR Correspondent reports that 11, 917 works under MGNREGA have been started across the UT providing employment to 55, 312 unskilled labourers &nbsp;by generating more than 2 lakh 17 thousand person days of work till date.<br />''<br />''Mr. Khan directed Director RDD, Jammu/Kashmir to ensure that at least one MGNREGA work is taken up at each ward/Panchayat within five days. He further directed both the Directors to focus on Water Conservation and Irrigation works, Construction of Check Dams, Ponds, Desilting of Khuls and Irrigation Canals and other Soil Conservation work, which will help to strengthen Agriculture sector. He enjoined upon the Officers to ensure 100% use of masks and compliance with the social distancing norms at work sites.</span><br />
