<span style="color: #222222;">Advisor to J&K Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan has emphasized the need of mass awareness about several welfare schemes of Labour and Employment Department. He stated this while chairing a review meeting over the functioning of L&E Department at Civil Secretariat in Jammu yesterday. Commissioner Secretary L&E, Saurabh Bhagat informed the meeting that the medical benefit under Employees State Insurance (ESI) Scheme has now been extended to the widows and spouses of deceased, retired and superannuated insured persons. <br />''<br />''It has also been extended to widows and spouses of insured persons who cease to be in insurable employment on account of permanent disablement, and to widows of insured persons who are in receipt of dependants' benefit. Mr Khan was informed that 11 dispensaries would be opened in all districts of Jammu and Kashmir for which recruitment of human resource would be initiated. Under Primary Care under ESI Scheme in the Union Territory, eight service dispensaries are being run by J&K Government. <br />''<br />''These dispensaries provide Primary Care Services including treatment, medicines, certification and primary scrutiny of IP reimbursement claims. Mr Khan asked the officials to launch mass awareness campaigns through print and electronic media so that the schemes and programmes would reach to the deserving lot.</span><br />
