<span style="color: #222222;">Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu has said that the Administration is working on a multi-pronged strategy to uplift the economy of the Union Territory in league with leading financial institutions. He said, the Administration is working for active and responsible participation of local democratic institutions including Block Development Councils and Panchayats in the development process. In a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners,  the LG directed them to ensure all the welfare schemes meant for poor and needy people reach them. The Lt. Governor also asked the District Magistrates for attending the issues related to law enforcement in the districts and submitting a monthly report on the law and order scenario in the districts.</span><br />
