J&K LG Manoj Sinha unfurls tricolor; lays emphasis on development, peace and social harmony

<span style="color: black;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha<b> </b>unfurled the tricolor in Srinagar today. In his address, he said that Jammu and Kashmir has always been an integral part of the existence of India in each and every respect viz. culturally, politically, socially and spiritually. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">He stressed on five points which are Equality & Justice, Panchayati Raj, Everyone's Welfare, Rapid Development & Economic Development and Employment.</span><br />'' <span style="color: black;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: black;">He said that former Prime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee had great emphasis on Insaniyat, Jamhooriyat and Kashmiriyat. But humanity conceded defeat to terrorism for decades in Kashmir,  democracy suffered at the hands of vested interests and Kashmiriyat was massacred to appease the hatred that ensued. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">He further said that it is a matter of great sorrow that the legacy of cultural syncretism has been eclipsed by the vicious story of sectarianism. He said that his government, however, will transform the narrative and make development, peace, progress and social harmony the most integral part of the narrative of Jammu and Kashmir. </span><br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports that <span style="color: black;">Lieutenant Government Manoj Sinha unfurled the tricolour at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket stadium in Srinagar today on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day celebrations. The Lieutenant Governor extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">In his message, he laid much emphasis on development, peace and social harmony since these are the most integral parts of the narrative of J&K.  He further said that the Anti Corruption Department will be strengthened to put in place a transparent system of governance which will be dedicated to empowering the marginalised and weaker sections of the society. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The LG appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to follow the guidelines of the administration in an effort to prevent the spread of the pandemic furthermore. He said that as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, the vacant posts of panchayats will be filled up to establish the third tier of governance viz. the Pachayatai Raj at the district levels in Jammu and Kashmir.</span><br />
