The LG added, that Guru Ji's life and his message of love, compassion, equality, peace, and brotherhood are key to the formation of a harmonious & progressive society without any discrimination and distinction. The LG observed that the reopening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor by the Prime Minister on this auspicious occasion has fulfilled a cherished demand of the entire Sikh community. He also expressed hope that the celebration of this auspicious event would contribute towards strengthening unity and harmony, and would be a harbinger of peace, progress, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.</span><br />
